Our Founder Professor Rosario Puga-Dempsey

 

554059_562656830455151_808169074_nProfessor Puga-Dempsey has over 20 years of experience teaching Spanish and working with people of all ages and ethnic groups. She has a BA in communications and a Masters in applied linguistics from Universidad de Las Americas, Puebla (UDLAP).

She received the award for “Outstanding Foreign Language Teacher” of the year by San Jose State University, as well as the award of   “Who’s who among Americas teachers”. In her early years she was a guest student at Yale University and was in the alumni pride magazine for UDLAP, along with her great intellectual accomplishments, she was also an outstanding athlete. She won  first place in the 400 meter sprint in her state and second place at a national level, representing her college UDLAP. Professor Puga-Dempsey finds great joy in teaching  and her main goal is to not only teach spanish but also the culture and traditions of her native country México.
